Egyptian artist Mohamed Hamaqi revealed an upcoming artistic collaboration with artist Sherine Abdel-Wahab, expressing his hope to perform a concert together in Jeddah, where they would present the song 'Bahriya' along with several of their joint works, stressing that the idea is under discussion and he hopes it sees the light soon.

Hamaqi said during the press conference that followed his concert, organized by Bench Mark Company as part of Jeddah Season events, that his relationship with the Jeddah audience holds a special place in his artistic career, explaining that his first concert in the Kingdom was in Jeddah, and that was his true beginning with the Saudi audience, which created a special relationship that is renewed with every visit.

He added that he felt great happiness during the concert, noting that the remarkable interaction from the audience made him feel as if time passed quickly without him noticing, especially with the great enthusiasm that accompanied the performance of his new album's songs, stressing that the audience surprised him by memorizing the lyrics of many new songs and singing along, which he described as a source of pride and happiness for him.

Upcoming concerts

Hamaqi explained that he performed between eight and nine songs from his new album during the concert, a larger number than he is used to presenting in album launch concerts, attributing that to the confidence he sensed in the audience's interaction with the new works, noting that the many requests from attendees prevented him from performing all the songs they wanted to hear, promising to present them in upcoming concerts. He affirmed that his constant goal is to make his audience happy, indicating that when selecting his works, he is keen to present the song capable of lasting and continuing, explaining that a song that lives long needs sufficient time in the stages of writing, composing, and production, and that he does not rush to release any work until he is fully convinced of it and feels that it represents his artistic identity. Regarding the possibility of his return to talent discovery programs, Hamaqi said that he has a beautiful experience and does not mind repeating it in the future whenever his artistic commitments allow, explaining that the matter is related to his availability and the conclusion of his commitments related to preparing albums and concerts. Hamaqi concluded his speech by emphasizing that all the songs he has presented throughout his career represent his artistic conviction and express his personality, expressing his satisfaction with what he has presented so far, and his keenness to continue presenting works that maintain their quality and remain close to his audience.
