As part of a new artistic collaboration between Egypt and France, preparations continue for the musical play 'Dalida... The Never-Ending Song', directed by Khairy Beshara, written by Waleed Khairy, and starring international soprano Farah El-Dibany. The first performance will be in Alexandria on October 31, before beginning its tour in France.

Director Khairy Beshara revealed to 'Okaz' that choosing Farah El-Dibany stemmed from his complete conviction in her talent, emphasizing that the script written by Waleed Khairy offers a different treatment of Dalida's life, away from the traditional biographical format, which was one of the main reasons for his enthusiasm for the project.

Beshara explained that the show will use artificial intelligence technologies in several scenes, especially those related to Dalida's childhood, noting that the biggest challenge is selecting actors fluent in both Arabic and French, allowing the play to be performed by the same team in Egypt and France.

For her part, Farah El-Dibany told 'Okaz' that Dalida's human depth and the emotions and sorrows she hid were what most attracted her to the character, noting that portraying her in a musical play was a childhood dream that came true through collaboration with Khairy Beshara.

El-Dibany stressed that she presents the character with her own vision, benefiting from Beshara's guidance and her opera studies, to reach Dalida's dimensions and achieve a balance between acting and singing on stage.
