Literature Authority Celebrates Conclusion of the Fifth Edition of the Literary Partner Initiative with One Million Beneficiaries in Riyadh

The Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority concluded this evening the fifth edition of the "Literary Partner" initiative for the year 2025-2026, during the closing ceremony held at King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh, attended by the Authority's CEO Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Wasil, and the CEO of the Quality of Life Program Center Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Bakr, along with a selection of writers, intellectuals, initiative partners, and representatives of cultural and media entities.
The Authority's CEO affirmed that the "Literary Partner" initiative has established a national model for cultural partnership between the private and non-profit sectors, and contributed to expanding community participation and enhancing the presence of literature in various regions of the Kingdom, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Al-Wasil explained that the fifth edition of the initiative witnessed the participation of 220 literary partners in 57 cities across the Kingdom, who implemented 11,677 initiatives with the participation of 9,240 speakers, recording a 68% increase in the number of new speakers. The number of beneficiaries of the initiative exceeded one million, reflecting its expanding impact and solidifying its position as a national platform to support literary and cultural movement and empower creatives.
Honoring Winners and Supporting Literary Excellence
The ceremony witnessed the honoring of winners in the five tracks of the initiative, which included cafes, cultural clubs, associations, publishing houses, and shared spaces in all their categories, in appreciation of the excellence of their literary initiatives and their contribution to expanding the circle of cultural participation and enhancing the reach of literature to broader segments of society.
The total prizes awarded to winners exceeded one million riyals, in addition to allocating special prizes for the best innovative contribution, the best representative of regional culture, and the best media appearance, in support of excellence and to encourage literary initiatives with sustainable impact.
Supporting Cultural Movement and Enhancing Partnership
The ceremony concluded by celebrating distinguished partners and reviewing the most prominent achievements and inspiring stories achieved by the initiative during this edition, affirming its role in enhancing integration between the cultural sector and the private and non-profit sectors, and establishing a sustainable literary culture that contributes to community development and enriches the Saudi cultural scene.
