Jeddah welcomed the stars of the "The Comeback" tournament on Wednesday evening during the Grand Arrivals Launch Party, held at the Jeddah Yacht Club and Edition Jeddah Hotel, as part of the Global Boxing Week activities, ahead of the anticipated event hosted by the Jeddah Super Dome next Saturday, featuring an elite group of top international, Saudi, and Arab boxers.
Media Presence and Festive Atmosphere
The boxers participating in the tournament attended the event, along with a number of invited guests and media representatives, amidst a distinctive festive atmosphere. Each boxer entered to their own theme music before stepping onto the ring to greet the audience.
British former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua and Albanian Kristian Prenga stole the spotlight during the ceremony, amid growing anticipation for the main bout that will bring them together. Joshua enters the fight with a record of 29 professional victories, including 26 by knockout, while Prenga boasts 20 wins, all by knockout.
The two boxers had their first face-off on Tuesday during a meeting held on a yacht at the Jeddah Yacht Club, kicking off the media events of the fight week, before meeting again today with the rest of the participants at the Grand Arrivals Party.
