The Theatre and Performing Arts Association announced the launch of the qualifying training workshops for the Princess Noura University Theatre Festival, which is held in partnership with the Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University, within the framework of an agreement signed between the two parties aimed at supporting young theatrical talents and enhancing cultural and artistic mobility within the university environment.

These workshops represent the preliminary phase of the festival scheduled to be held at the Blue Theatre at the university from 1 to 3 September 2026, as they seek to discover and hone the theatrical talents of students, and prepare them to participate in a theatrical experience that combines theoretical training and practical application.

The training program includes a series of specialized workshops presented by three professional trainers, covering 9 main theatrical fields: acting, directing, playwriting, set design, stage lighting, theatrical makeup, costumes, singing, and production.

The festival is considered a qualitative platform aimed at creating a stimulating creative environment within the university, allowing students to move from the learning stage to actual practice through the production of integrated theatrical performances that reflect their abilities and talents.

The association emphasized that this partnership comes as an extension of its efforts in supporting young national talents and empowering the next generation of male and female theatre practitioners, by providing training and professional opportunities that contribute to the development of the theatre scene in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
