Al-Baha 25 Muharram 1448 H corresponding to July 10, 2026 AD SPA The Al-Baha region abounds with historical villages and ancient stone houses nestled in its mountainous nature, and hosts a number of rural inns that contribute to offering tourism experiences blending the beauty of nature with the richness of cultural heritage. The "Al-Ayed Inn" in Bani Kabir is one of the prominent rural inns in the region, reflecting the traditional architectural style built with local stone and wood, and houses more than 450 diverse heritage pieces, including antique furniture, household tools, and old paper currency, allowing visitors to explore the details of life once lived by the people of Al-Baha. The owner of the inn, Sharifa Al-Ghamdi, told the Saudi Press Agency that she worked over nine years to restore and equip a number of old houses, aiming to preserve their architectural identity and transform them into a tourist destination that introduces local heritage. The rural inns highlight an aspect of the region's architectural and cultural legacy, characterized by the ingenuity in utilizing natural materials suitable for Al-Baha's terrain and climate, in addition to their role in supporting cultural tourism and preserving historical buildings.
