Riyadh, Muharram 20, 1448 AH (July 05, 2026) – SPA The health system continues to solidify its presence on the international stage through a continuous series of accreditations, awards, and certificates. It has achieved (8) international accreditations, (52) global awards, and more than (17) international certificates since the beginning of 2026, reflecting the development of institutional efficiency, service quality, and excellence according to the highest global standards. This embodies one of the fruits of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030, which has established advanced enablers to enhance the system’s efficiency and global competitiveness. The international accreditations include the Ministry of Health, represented by the National Health Center for Command and Control, obtaining accreditation from the World Health Organization (WHO) as a collaborating center. Similarly, the Saudi Center for Accreditation of Health Facilities (CBAHI) also obtained WHO accreditation as a collaborating center. WHO also accredited the Public Health Authority (Weqaya) as a collaborating center for promoting healthy lifestyles, and the Public Health Academy was accredited as a collaborating center for enhancing the capabilities of the public health workforce. Additionally, the reference laboratory of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority obtained international quality accreditation according to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard. Regarding global awards, the national health system won (19) medals and special awards at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva 2026, after participating with (20) health inventions. The Ministry of Health won the Press Ganey Award for measuring beneficiary experience and evaluating health facility performance. The Health Holding Company received the Sterling International Collaboration Award for institutional excellence, and "Dhaman" won the gold award from the MUSE Creative Awards, along with (4) awards in the "Gulf Customer Experience" competition. As for international certificates, the Ministry of Health branch in Najran received an ISO certificate in the field of artificial intelligence. The Saudi Red Crescent Authority obtained the Test Maturity Model Integration (TMMi) certificate, and its branch in the Asir region received an ISO certificate. "Dhaman" and the National Unified Procurement Company for Medicines, Devices, and Medical Supplies (NUPCO) obtained (13) ISO certificates in several areas, including IT service management, business continuity, and information security. The Health Holding Company received the "Best Workplace" certificate from the Great Place to Work organization.
