Consultant and Professor of Cardiology and Arterial Catheterization at the College of Medicine, Dr. Khaled Al-Nemer, warned against neglecting the daily aspirin dose for fear of increasing the risk of clotting.

He said via his account on the 'X' platform that taking an aspirin pill once a week is absolutely insufficient because its effect on platelets lasts (7–10 days), but the body produces new platelets daily at a rate of approximately 10% that are not affected by the previous dose.

Al-Nemer pointed out that accordingly, neglecting the daily dose allows effective platelets to accumulate, increasing the risk of clotting.
