Successful Precision Surgery to Correct Spinal Curvature in a Girl at Buraidah Hospital
The medical team at the Maternity and Children's Hospital in Buraidah, part of the Qassim Health Cluster, successfully performed a surgery to correct scoliosis (spinal curvature) at the hospital on a 14-year-old girl, as part of the specialized surgical services provided to beneficiaries.

The Qassim Health Cluster explained that the patient suffered from chronic spinal curvature exceeding 50 degrees, which caused asymmetry of the shoulders and pelvis, chronic back pain, and significant protrusion of the shoulder blade and rib cage, affecting the patient's physical balance and functional abilities.
The cluster stated that the medical team performed a precise surgical operation lasting more than six hours, during which the vertebrae were straightened, the deviation corrected, and stabilized using advanced surgical techniques, according to the approved treatment plan for the case.
They pointed out that the operation was successful, praise be to God, as the patient is in stable health and left the hospital after undergoing medical follow-up and necessary rehabilitation, which contributed to improving her quality of life and restoring her motor functions normally.
The surgical team was led by Dr. Abdullah Al-Saeed, consultant orthopedic and spine surgeon, and Dr. Abdullah Al-Murshed, consultant orthopedic and pediatric orthopedic surgeon, under the supervision of the anesthesia team led by Dr. Yasser Al-Omar, consultant pediatric anesthesiologist.
