Abu Dhabi, 21st June / WAM / Abu Dhabi City Municipality called on all engineers working in the construction and building sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to register in the Engineers Registration System via the 'Tamm' platform to obtain cards that enable them to deal with relevant government entities, including the municipalities of the emirate.

It clarified that contracting companies and engineering consulting offices must attach electronic copies of engineer registration cards for all transactions related to the construction and building sector, where the design engineer must display their card on engineering plans according to their specialization.

The municipality also called on all engineering establishments operating in the construction and building sector in the emirate to register in the Classification System through the 'Tamm' platform, to obtain a certificate of practicing engineering professions that allow them to deal with relevant government entities, including services related to the municipalities in the emirate.

This came during the workshops held by Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through the Urban Planning Sector - Classification and Profession Registration Department, during the second quarter of this year, targeting engineers and engineering establishments operating in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including contracting companies and engineering consulting offices, with one workshop each in April, May, and June 2024.

The three workshops aimed to educate engineers working in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi about the system and instructions for registering engineers and how to apply for registration services on the 'Tamm' platform, as well as educating engineering establishments about the system and instructions for classification systems and explaining the steps to apply for classification services on 'Tamm'.
