In the past, I used to view my mind as a vessel that I fill.. Then my view of my mind changed, and I started to see it as a pot that I light a fire under.. It became clear after decades that I was wrong in both cases.. I have realized - recently - that my mind is a mixture of the container that I fill.. and then I set it on fire, so that ideas can ripen; because the pot does not boil unless it has enough water.. What is in my mind are cognitive materials 'reading.. meditation.. travel', cooked with an intellectual fire formed according to the Arfajian mentality..! #Nasiyah (2) I try to be wise.. so I read all ideas that contradict my ideas..! This is a habit of the wise. Our teacher Socrates says: 'The wise person is the one who has the ability to entertain different ideas without embracing them.' I entertain all ideas put forward with all love and tolerance, seeking the truth. #Nasiyah (3) Man is nothing but what he thinks. If his thoughts are good, the waves and vibrations of goodness meet from the mouths of people, the signs of the earth, and the markers of the land. If his thoughts are of the evil sort, the mind will accept only what is from the tribe of the evil. There is a popular saying: 'He who associates with the praying will pray, and he who associates with the turning away will turn away.' More importantly, there is a noble hadith that says: 'Knowledge is only by learning, and forbearance is only by practicing forbearance. Whoever seeks goodness will be given it, and whoever avoids evil will be protected from it.' O Allah, make us among those with good thoughts, blessed deeds, and pure souls. #Said_Al-Arfaj
