What is RSS?

RSS is a new service that allows you to receive the latest news as soon as it is posted on the websites you have subscribed to. Instead of browsing websites and searching for new topics, RSS notifies you of any new news and topics on those sites immediately upon publication. Thus, the service enables news producers to deliver their "latest" news directly to the recipient without the recipient needing to visit their sites. In its simplest form, the news received in this way includes the news title, a summary of the news text, and a link to the full text of the news on the news producer's website.
