ANKARA — Saudi Justice Minister Dr. Waleed Al-Samaani met Turkish Justice Minister Akın Gürlek during an official visit to Türkiye to discuss ways to strengthen judicial and legal cooperation between the two countries.
The ministers reviewed mechanisms for implementing the memorandum of understanding signed between their ministries and explored ways to expand cooperation through the exchange of expertise, best practices and professional experience.
Discussions covered several areas of cooperation, including digital transformation, judicial training, knowledge sharing, professional exchange visits and the development of judicial services and procedures.
During the visit, Al-Samaani also toured Türkiye's Constitutional Court, where he met its president, Kadir Özkaya, and was briefed on the court's responsibilities and operations.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination between the relevant authorities and advancing areas of cooperation to serve the shared interests of Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
