Walking tracks are among the most prominent elements in developing public spaces, as they provide safe and stimulating environments for physical activities, in addition to their role in improving the urban landscape and enhancing the use of open spaces, contributing to a better quality of life.

These tracks aim to encourage community members to adopt a more active lifestyle by providing prepared and safe pathways for walking, thereby promoting public health, increasing physical activity rates, and preventing diseases related to physical inactivity, while also offering attractive urban environments that meet the needs of all age groups and enhance quality of life.

Tracks totaling 44,000 meters in length

The official spokesperson for the Qassim Region Municipality, Naif Abdurrahman Al-Nufaie, stated that the municipality has established 41 walking tracks in Buraidah, including those in Al-Muntazah, Al-Iskan, and Al-Uqailat districts, with a total length exceeding 44,000 linear meters. This is part of its ongoing efforts to develop public facilities and create integrated urban environments that meet the needs of residents and visitors, enhance quality of life, and encourage community members to engage in physical activities.

The implementation of these tracks considered their integration with gardens, parks, and public squares, providing prepared and safe pathways for walking, enhancing the use of municipal facilities, supporting community activities, and encouraging community members to adopt more active and healthy lifestyles.

The Qassim Region Municipality continues to implement projects aimed at developing public spaces and improving the urban landscape, thereby enhancing the quality of municipal services, increasing the efficiency of public facilities, and providing sustainable urban facilities that meet the needs of residents and visitors, contributing to the goals of the Quality of Life Program and Saudi Vision 2030.
