The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture announced the offering of two investment opportunities in the fish farming and honey production sectors in the Eastern Province, with an area exceeding 475,000 square meters.
The step aims to achieve self-sufficiency and enhance food security in partnership with the private sector.

This project seeks to increase local fish production and support the development of the fisheries sector. The opportunities also included a beekeeping and honey production project in Qatif Governorate, spanning 225,000 square meters. The project focuses on raising local honey production capacity and enhancing the contribution of the livestock sector.
Deadline for receiving offers
The ministry explained that October 4, 2026 is the last date for receiving offers from investors. It noted that the terms and conditions booklet is currently available on the 'Foras' platform to facilitate regulatory procedures. The ministry invited investors and interested parties to review project details and take the initiative to compete within the specified period. These offerings come within efforts to expand the scope of investment cooperation to meet agricultural development targets.
