The Eastern Province Municipality, represented by the Khobar Municipality, removed 53 damaged and abandoned vehicles from the streets of the governorate during last June, as part of its ongoing efforts to address visual distortions, improve the urban landscape, and enhance the quality of life in cities and governorates.

Faisal Al-Zahrani, Director General of the General Administration of Media and official spokesperson for the Eastern Province Municipality, explained that the removal operations came after completing the required legal procedures and issuing necessary warnings to vehicle owners before removal, noting that these efforts are part of the field programs implemented by the municipality and its affiliated municipalities to monitor and address visual distortions and enhance the urban environment.

He pointed out that removing damaged and neglected vehicles helps maintain the general appearance and reduce practices that affect the aesthetics of cities and road safety, while indicating that the municipality continues to carry out its regulatory and field campaigns periodically in various locations, achieving the goals of improving quality of life and raising the level of municipal services provided to residents.

Al-Zahrani called on citizens and residents to cooperate and report damaged or neglected vehicles that distort the general appearance, through the 940 reporting center or via the 'Baladi' application, stressing the continuation of monitoring and treatment efforts as part of its endeavors to maintain an organized and safe urban environment.
