8 Development Initiatives by Imam Abdulrahman University at the United Nations
Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University recorded an international presence through eight initiatives in the voluntary national report for 2026.
The initiatives were presented at the United Nations to support sustainable development goals and the Kingdom's vision.

Achieving Sustainable Development
He stated that the initiatives covered the fields of education, innovation, community service, climate action, and support for the national economy.

He added that the university relied on its annual institutional project 'Mustadam' to integrate development goals into the academic and research system, affirming that this step contributes to achieving long-term developmental impact within the university's third strategic plan. Dr. Al-Harbi pointed out that the university joined the Alliance of Higher Education Institutions for Sustainable Development led by UNESCO, noting that this alliance enhances the university's international presence and expands its partnerships for sharing best academic practices globally. For his part, the Vice President for Development and Community Partnership, Dr. Asim Al-Ansari, indicated that the Sustainable Development Unit undertook the coordination work for preparing the report. He revealed the documentation and alignment of institutional practices with the UN goals in cooperation with various university colleges and departments. He affirmed that this institutional effort resulted in highlighting the social, economic, and environmental impact of the eight initiatives in the national report, stating that the unit continues to consolidate a culture of sustainability and impact measurement to enhance the university's position as an effective national model locally and globally.
