The Eastern Province Municipality, represented by the Municipality of Al-Khobar Governorate, has completed 96% of the ongoing development work on Street 13 in the Yarmouk district of Al-Khobar Governorate, as part of a comprehensive plan aimed at enhancing urban infrastructure, improving the general landscape, and creating a more suitable environment for pedestrians and residents.

Director General of the General Administration of Media and Official Spokesperson for the Eastern Province Municipality, Faisal Al-Zahrani, explained that the development project of Street 13 in the Yarmouk district is part of the humanization projects and improving the quality of life in Al-Khobar. The project includes creating pedestrian sidewalks to enhance traffic safety and increase comfort for street users, along with side afforestation works that add an aesthetic touch and support environmental sustainability, in addition to asphalting, rehabilitation of asphalt layers, road markings, and installation of decorative lighting to enhance the urban scene at night.

He affirmed that these works come as a continuation of the municipality's efforts to implement humanization projects and transform main streets into integrated urban environments that consider residents' needs and align with quality of life improvement targets.

Al-Zahrani further stated that the Street 13 project in the Yarmouk district is one of the developmental models reflecting the municipality's direction towards enhancing the concept of a 'human-friendly city' by providing safe pedestrian paths, improving the visual landscape, increasing green spaces, and raising the efficiency of infrastructure.

In conclusion, he mentioned that the municipality is proceeding with the implementation of more humanization projects in various locations, contributing to achieving sustainable urban development that meets the aspirations of residents and aligns with quality of life targets.
