His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Governor of Al-Ahsa, received at his office at the governorate headquarters today the Director of Traffic for the Eastern Region, Major General Dr. Abdul Latif bin Mohammed Al-Obaidallah, accompanied by the Director of Traffic for Al-Ahsa Governorate, Colonel Khaled bin Jibran Al-Fifi, and a number of traffic leaders.

His Highness congratulated Major General Al-Obaidallah on the occasion of the issuance of the royal order promoting him to the rank of Major General, wishing him continued success and success in performing his duties. During the meeting, His Highness reviewed the executive plan to enhance traffic safety in Al-Ahsa Governorate, and the results of traffic safety indicators through which Al-Ahsa Governorate achieved third place among the governorates of the Eastern Region. He also reviewed the executive plan, which includes more than 90 initiatives and programs, their targets, implementation mechanisms, and performance measurement indicators, aimed at enhancing traffic safety, raising the efficiency of field performance, employing modern technologies, and developing traffic solutions in integration with relevant authorities, in addition to intensifying awareness programs, to contribute to reducing accidents, raising the level of road safety, enhancing traffic work efficiency, improving service quality, and achieving quality of life targets.

His Highness, the Governor of Al-Ahsa, praised the support and attention that the traffic sector receives from the wise leadership - may God preserve them - and the follow-up of His Highness the Minister of Interior, affirming that this support constitutes a fundamental pillar for continuing to develop the traffic safety system and enhance service efficiency. His Highness explained that developing this system represents one of the basic pillars for enhancing quality of life, and that investment in modern technologies, raising the efficiency of field work, benefiting from data and performance indicators in supporting decision-making, along with developing traffic awareness, contributes to building a safer and smoother traffic environment, and keeps pace with the targets of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in improving government services and enhancing community safety.

His Highness stressed the importance of continuing to enhance partnerships and integration between government agencies, the private and non-profit sectors, as well as educational and community institutions, to spread a culture of compliance with traffic regulations, and to establish awareness of the importance of traffic safety, thereby contributing to preserving lives and property and enhancing the safety of road users. He affirmed that the governorate supports all initiatives that contribute to raising the level of traffic safety, reducing accidents, and preserving lives and property, based on the fact that human safety is at the forefront of the priorities of the wise leadership - may God support them - which pays great attention to the safety of citizens and residents.

For his part, Major General Al-Obaidallah expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Governor of Al-Ahsa for his support and interest, affirming that His Highness's directives represent a motivation to continue implementing the executive plan, enhancing partnership with various authorities, and improving traffic services, to enhance road safety and the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.
