The Tourism Scene: Crafting Experiences

The Ministry of Tourism is making diligent efforts and significant tourism activity in all directions. Saudi Arabia's new tourism experience has raced against time and overcome obstacles to expand the scope of sustainable tourism, enhance interconnection between peoples, and demonstrate how the prosperity of the tourism sector in the Kingdom reflects its commitment to reshaping the global travel landscape, working with global partners to achieve the Kingdom's vision, and setting a model in this field, such that the experience now dominates the global tourism scene. Through its Ministry of Tourism, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has pursued valuable and distinctive tourism development with social, cultural, environmental, and economic benefits, stemming from its Islamic values and the authenticity of its ancient heritage.

Workshops and initiatives in the field of tourism testify to the efforts to develop this sector in the Kingdom as a goal to achieve the National Tourism Strategy to enhance the Kingdom's position as a global tourism destination. Tourism investment is one of the initiatives pursued by the Ministry, in cooperation with all government sectors, to enable national tourism projects. When the Ministry of Tourism issued the annual statistical report for 2025, which highlights key indicators of the tourism sector's growth in the Kingdom and reveals its comprehensive transformation path according to the trajectory set by the National Tourism Strategy and the Kingdom's Vision 2030, it was a comprehensive, transparent report with a forward-looking vision.

Minister of Tourism Mr. Ahmed Al-Khatib said that the record results and positive indicators included in the report would not have been achieved without the unlimited support from the wise leadership—may God support them—and their sound directives in developing the tourism sector, making it a main pillar in diversifying the national economy and achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and highlighting the important role played by the tourism sector in economic activity, as it directly contributed 4.9% of the GDP in 2024, achieving growth of about 14% compared to the previous year, and this economic impact continued in 2025. The tourism sector is one of the components and pillars that the Kingdom enjoys, represented by antiquities, historical sites, its geographical location, cultural heritage, political and economic stability, its infrastructure, and amazing development. All of this has made the tourism sector in the spotlight.
