Prince of Riyadh Region Reviews Key Regulatory Targets for Water Sector

His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Riyadh Region, received at his office at Al-Hukm Palace, His Excellency the CEO of the Saudi Water Authority, Engineer Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Abdulkarim, accompanied by the Assistant CEO, Engineer Hamad bin Nasser Al-Washmi, and the General Director of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture's branch in the region, Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Mansour.
During the meeting, His Highness was briefed on the authority's efforts in regulating and supervising the water sector, and its work to enhance the security of water supplies, raise service efficiency, and achieve sustainability in water resource management, in line with the targets of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and to contribute to enhancing the sector's efficiency and increasing the reliability of its services.
His Highness listened to an explanation about the most prominent initiatives implemented by the authority and its efforts in monitoring the performance of water service providers, raising the level of compliance, and improving service quality, which enhances the efficiency of the water system, protects the rights of beneficiaries, and improves the level of services provided in various regions of the Kingdom.
His Highness was also briefed on the authority's key targets in developing the regulatory environment for the water sector, supporting the integration of roles among relevant entities, and contributing to building a more efficient and sustainable water system, which enhances water security, raises the sector's readiness to keep pace with developmental growth, and achieves the targets of the National Water Strategy and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Highness the Prince of Riyadh Region commended the support and attention given to the water sector by the wise leadership - may God support them - stressing the importance of continuing efforts to develop services, raise performance efficiency, and enhance the sustainability of water resources, in order to achieve the leadership's aspirations and serve the beneficiaries.
