Iran launched ballistic missile and drone attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain, in an ongoing escalation of Tehran's hostile and systematic approach targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, while the air defenses of both countries announced successfully dealing with the attacks without recording any human casualties or material damage.

The Kuwaiti army announced on Wednesday that its air defenses intercepted two ballistic missiles and 13 hostile drones that breached the country's airspace early Wednesday, confirming the success of the interception operation without any material damage or injuries.

The official spokesman for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, Colonel Staff Saud Abdulaziz Al-Attwan, said that the armed forces detected the two ballistic missiles and the drones and dealt with them successfully, stressing that the armed forces continue to carry out their tasks within the framework of permanent readiness and preparedness, which enhances the country's security and preserves the safety of citizens and residents.

The Kuwaiti army had published a statement on 'X' stating: 'Kuwaiti air defenses are currently confronting hostile missile and drone attacks,' adding: 'The General Staff of the Army notes that if explosion sounds are heard, they are the result of air defense systems intercepting hostile attacks.'

For its part, Bahrain announced on Wednesday that its air defense systems confronted a number of Iranian aerial assaults.

The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force said that Iran continues its systematic hostile approach through its heinous attacks with missiles and drones targeting civilians in Bahrain.

It added that the air defense systems of its defense force confronted a number of treacherous Iranian aerial assaults.

The General Command stressed that the deliberate use of missiles and drones to target civilians and private property constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

For its part, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced (Wednesday) the activation of warning sirens after Iran targeted several sites in the country, and the Bahraini Interior Ministry called on citizens and residents to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place.

The ministry stated in a post on its account on the 'X' platform: 'Warning sirens have been activated, and we ask citizens and residents to remain calm, head to the nearest safe place, and follow news through official channels.'
