Saudi Group Tops Global Operational Punctuality Rankings in June 2026
Saudi Group achieved a new milestone reflecting the efficiency of its operational system and business integration, as Saudia topped the global list of airlines in on-time performance, while flyadeal topped the list of airlines in the Middle East and Africa, according to the report of Cirium, a specialized platform for monitoring and analyzing airline performance, for June 2026.
This achievement came during one of the busiest months of the year in operational activity, as June witnessed the peak of the return phase of Hajj pilgrims to their countries after completing the rituals, along with the start of the summer vacation season. Saudia recorded an on-time arrival rate of 92.38%, while the on-time departure rate reached 93.02%, across 13,350 flights.
Meanwhile, flyadeal operated 5,150 flights during the same period, achieving an on-time arrival rate of 95.42% and an on-time departure rate of 96.63%. This outstanding performance reflects an integrated operational system based on the efficiency of Saudi Group employees, the integrated performance of its various sectors, and harmony with the aviation sector partners, which contributed to managing operational movement with high efficiency and maintaining flight punctuality despite the intensity of operations.
Advanced digital systems, enhanced by artificial intelligence technologies, also supported the efficiency of operational processes by improving planning and forecasting accuracy, and supporting real-time decision-making, which helped raise levels of operational discipline, enhance operational flexibility, and achieve the highest levels of efficiency for scheduled and additional flights.
The Director General of Saudi Group, Engineer Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, pointed out that the continued excellence in operational performance reflects the volume of efforts made by the group's employees in the planning and execution stages, especially with overlapping seasons and multiple challenges in the aviation sector. He explained that work continues on developing operational capabilities to support contributing to achieving the targets of the National Aviation Strategy and to consolidate Saudi Arabia's position as a leading global center in the air transport industry.
Operational efficiency is one of the most prominent strategic pillars of Saudi Group, which seeks to enhance the sustainability of its operations due to its direct impact on improving the guest experience, as time and commitment to flight schedule accuracy are among the most important elements by which guests measure service quality.
