Al-Tharwa National Park in Al-Qura Governorate has strengthened its presence as one of the prominent tourist destinations in the Al-Baha region, attracting visitors to the Al-Baha Summer 2026 season thanks to its natural features, strategic location, and diverse recreational and service facilities.

A report indicated that the park, developed and prepared by the Al-Qura Governorate Municipality, is located about 31 kilometers north of Al-Baha city, spanning an area of over 128,000 square meters, including more than 19,000 square meters of green spaces, along with 850 trees that give the site a distinctive natural character.

The report noted that the park includes an open-air theater with a capacity of about 600 people, a children's theater with a capacity of over 150, in addition to 30 children's rides, 30 seating areas for visitors, and 12 service facilities, all designed to harmonize with the site's nature and enhance the visitor experience.

Integrated Facilities and Services for Families

The report added that the park includes 17 umbrellas distributed across the site, four restroom locations for men and women, along with an integrated lighting system, sports facilities, and entertainment areas for children, providing a suitable environment for families and picnickers.

New Developments and Increasing Demand

In the same context, development work continues on the park with the implementation of an elevated road offering panoramic views of the surrounding nature, expansion of umbrellas and seating areas, and the construction of a road providing a direct view of Wadi Bida Dam, aiming to enhance the park's features and increase its appeal as one of the top tourist parks in Al-Qura Governorate.

It is noteworthy that Al-Tharwa National Park is witnessing increasing demand from citizens and residents during the summer season, benefiting from the moderate climate and mountainous nature, in addition to accompanying events targeting all age groups, which contributes to boosting tourism activity in the region.
