Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission Prepares to Organize Closing Ceremony of "Literary Partner" Initiative in Its Fifth Edition

The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission is preparing to organize the closing ceremony of the "Literary Partner" initiative in its fifth edition (2025–2026), on the evening of Friday, July 24, at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh, in the presence of an elite group of writers, intellectuals, initiative partners, and representatives of cultural and media entities, in an evening that celebrates cultural achievements and reviews the initiative's impact on enhancing the presence of literature in society.
This ceremony comes to crown a year-long journey rich in cultural and literary giving, which witnessed a qualitative leap and significant expansion in the initiative's tracks. In addition to the "Cafés" track, the initiative introduced four new tracks in this edition, including Cultural Hobby Clubs, Associations, Publishing Houses, and Shared Spaces.
The CEO of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdul Aziz Al-Wasil, affirmed that the "Literary Partner" initiative has become a national model highlighting the success of the partnership between the Commission and the private and non-profit sectors in supporting the literary movement, noting that the fifth edition achieved a qualitative impact in enhancing the presence of literature in public spaces, expanding the circle of community participation, and establishing culture as part of daily life.
The ceremony includes a visual presentation documenting the initiative's journey, its most prominent milestones and achievements, along with honoring partners and crowning winners with cash prizes totaling over (one million) riyals. The initiative aims to enhance the value of literature in individuals' lives, make culture a lifestyle, strengthen the role of private and non-profit sector institutions in advancing the cultural sector, inspire individuals for literary and cultural production, and support the spread of the Saudi book locally and globally, in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing the cultural sector and enhancing its societal presence.
The closing ceremony is expected to constitute a platform to celebrate achievements, showcase success stories, and enhance communication between partners and those interested in cultural affairs, affirming the continued role of the "Literary Partner" initiative in establishing its position as one of the leading national initiatives in building sustainable cultural partnerships and enhancing the presence of literature in various regions of the Kingdom.
