She pointed out that Canada is one of the important educational destinations for Saudi students, due to its advanced academic and health system, and its excellence in medical education, clinical training, and scientific research, providing scholarship students with qualitative opportunities to acquire knowledge and experience in highly efficient educational and professional environments.
She explained that the numbers of Saudi doctors who have graduated or are expected to graduate in health and medical specialties in Canada have recorded a record growth of nearly 256%, as the number of graduates during 2025 rose to 606 graduates, compared to 170 graduates in 2020, an indicator reflecting the growing Saudi academic and medical presence in Canadian educational and training institutions.
She added that the Cultural Attaché received a new batch of male and female scholarship students under the Pioneers track for the academic year 2025/2026, numbering 61 students, who enrolled in universities classified among the top 15 universities in the world.
She explained that this batch comes as an extension of the strategy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program, launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Chairman of the Human Capacity Development Program Committee - may God protect him - with the aim of developing human capabilities, enhancing citizens' global competitiveness, and expanding the presence of Saudi students in prestigious universities.
She affirmed that the achieved growth in the number of graduates and the expansion of enrollment in global universities reflect the continuous support the scholarship sector receives from the wise leadership - may God support them - and contributes to enhancing academic partnerships between the Kingdom and Canada, and preparing qualified national competencies to transfer knowledge and support promising sectors, especially the health sector.
Dr. Al-Biz concluded her statement by emphasizing that the Cultural Attaché continues its efforts to support male and female scholarship students, facilitate their academic journey, and enhance cooperation with Canadian universities and educational and health institutions, contributing to building globally competitive human capital and supporting the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
