Binaa Association Concludes 'Management of Events and Festivals' Program
The Binaa Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Region concluded the Management of Events and Festivals program, the first program of the 'Ataa' volunteer camp within the festivals track, with the participation of 28 beneficiaries, after a 30-hour training program that included four training workshops and three practical applications, and concluded with the preparation and organization of the camp's closing ceremony, hosted by the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Science and Technology Center (SciTech).
The program is part of the association's efforts to build an institutional volunteer system concerned with preparing and qualifying its beneficiaries to participate efficiently in community initiatives and events, through specialized programs that combine knowledge and practice, and contribute to skill development and promoting a culture of volunteering.
Participants received specialized training in event planning and organization, protocol and etiquette, guest management, coordination, and teamwork, before moving to practical application, where they undertook the preparation and organization of the closing ceremony of the 'Ataa' volunteer camp, and participated in implementing various organizational and field aspects, in a practical experience that enhanced their readiness and enabled them to apply the knowledge and skills they acquired.
The CEO of Binaa Association, Dr. Abdullah bin Rashed Al-Khalidi, affirmed that volunteering represents one of the strategic paths that the association works to develop by preparing and qualifying its beneficiaries to actively participate in community service, contributing to raising the quality of volunteer work and maximizing its impact. He extended his thanks to Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, represented by the House of Expertise for Public Relations and Advertising, and to the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Science and Technology Center (SciTech), and to everyone who contributed to the success of the program and supported the association's efforts in preparing qualified volunteer cadres.
For his part, the head of the House of Expertise for Public Relations and Advertising at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Muhawis, explained that the program combined theoretical and practical aspects and contributed to developing participants' skills in organizing events and managing occasions, emphasizing the importance of field training in preparing volunteer competencies.
The Management of Events and Festivals program is the first program of the 'Ataa' volunteer camp within the festivals track, implemented by Binaa Association in cooperation with the House of Expertise for Public Relations and Advertising at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, with the aim of preparing volunteers who possess knowledge and skill, are able to contribute effectively to community service, and promote the culture of institutional volunteerism and entrench the values of responsibility and community participation, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
