Citizen Arrested for Violating Environmental Law by Unlicensed Camping in Asir
The Special Forces for Environmental Security announced the arrest of a citizen for violating the environmental law after spotting him camping without a license in the Asir region, confirming that legal procedures were taken against him according to the applicable regulations.

The forces clarified that camping in forests or national parks without an official permit incurs a fine of up to 3,000 Saudi riyals, as part of efforts to protect the environment and preserve natural resources.
The Special Forces for Environmental Security called on citizens and residents to cooperate and report any practices that constitute an attack on the environment or wildlife by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in the rest of the Kingdom.
It emphasized that all reports are treated with complete confidentiality, with the guarantee that the reporter will not be held liable, stressing the importance of community participation in supporting efforts to protect the environment and reduce environmental violations.
