The Ministry of Interior's Civil Affairs Agency has revealed details of the online newborn registration service, which allows male and female citizens and residents to register their newborns via the internet.

The Civil Affairs agency explained, via platform 'X', that the service provides the option to request delivery of official documents, such as the family register and birth certificate for citizens, and the birth certificate for residents, to the beneficiary's national address without the need to visit Civil Affairs offices.

The service can be implemented by logging into the Absher platform, selecting 'My Services' then 'Services', clicking on the 'Civil Affairs' icon, then choosing 'Newborn Registration Service', reviewing the terms, and completing the application.

The Civil Affairs agency stressed the necessity of registering the birth within 30 days from the date of delivery, as a financial penalty will be imposed if this period is exceeded.
