The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen announced on Monday evening that Saudi air defenses had dealt with ballistic missiles fired by the Houthi group towards the southern region of the kingdom.
This came in a post by official coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki, published on the American company X platform.
Al-Maliki said: "Air defenses dealt with a threat from ballistic missiles launched by the terrorist Houthi militia towards the southern region."
The coalition did not provide further details on the number of missiles or the results of the interception, and there was no immediate comment from the Houthi group on the matter.
