Abha, Safar 1, 1448 AH corresponding to July 15, 2026, SPA — Al-Muftaha District in Abha city organized this evening a specialized heritage workshop titled "Heritage House," as part of the cultural programs accompanying "Asir Summer 2026" to introduce visitors to the architectural heritage and traditional crafts that Asir region is famous for, and to provide an interactive experience combining knowledge and practical application. The workshop witnessed participation from several visitors and heritage enthusiasts. It showcased the components of the traditional Asiri house, construction and decoration methods, and aesthetic elements that distinguished local architecture, along with introducing heritage crafts related to old houses through practical applications that allowed participants to learn and practice these crafts, thereby enhancing their connection to the region's cultural heritage. The workshop aimed to preserve the cultural identity of Asir region, revive traditional crafts, and transmit their knowledge to new generations through an interactive experience that highlights the authenticity of Asiri heritage, raises awareness of its civilizational value, and strengthens its presence in cultural events accompanying the summer season.
