The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Oman, in coordination with the relevant Omani authorities, began procedures to follow up on a traffic accident that occurred yesterday evening on the Adam-Haima road, resulting in the death of two Saudi citizens and injury of five others from the same family. The injured and deceased were transported to the Kingdom after the injured recovered.

The embassy stated in a statement that it followed up on the accident since its occurrence in coordination with the relevant authorities in Oman, expressing its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased, and praying that God envelops them in his vast mercy and grants them a place in paradise.

The embassy also praised the cooperation shown by the Omani authorities and the teams that handled the accident, commending the attention and facilities provided that contributed to dealing with the incident.

For its part, the Royal Oman Police Aviation conducted a medical evacuation operation for Saudi citizens, while five other injured were transferred by ambulances to Nizwa Hospital after they were involved in a rollover accident in the Qarn al-Alam area on Sultan Said bin Taimur Road (Adam-Haima).

Relevant authorities confirmed that the accident resulted in the death of two people and injury of five others, all from the same family.

Coordination between the embassy and Omani authorities

The embassy stated that it worked in coordination with the competent authorities in Oman to follow up on the accident procedures and complete necessary arrangements regarding the injured and deceased before transferring them to the Kingdom.

The embassy concluded its statement by renewing condolences to the family of the deceased, expressing appreciation for the cooperation shown by the Omani authorities in dealing with the accident and providing necessary support.
