Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, received in his office the President of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), Dr. Saad Othman Al-Qasabi.

Prince Saud was briefed on the organization's efforts and vision for developing the standards, metrology and quality system, raising the level of standardization, and enhancing the quality infrastructure, to support economic development and stimulate competitiveness.

The meeting also reviewed the organization's work in enhancing product safety, discussed the compliance index of goods and services traded in the region with standard specifications and technical regulations, as well as ways to improve service quality and protect consumer rights.
