Eastern Province Governor Congratulates King Faisal University on Topping Saudi and Gulf Universities

His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, received at his office in the Emirate today the President of King Faisal University, Professor Dr. Adel bin Mohammed Abu Zenada, accompanied by a number of university vice presidents and leaders, on the occasion of the university achieving 35th place globally and topping Saudi and Gulf universities in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026 (THE Sustainability Impact Rankings).

His Highness, the Governor of the Eastern Province, congratulated the leaders of King Faisal University on this global achievement, emphasizing that the advanced positions achieved by Saudi universities in international rankings and indicators reflect the support and attention that the education sector receives from the wise leadership - may God support them - and embody the excellence that Saudi universities have reached in the fields of education, research, innovation, and community service, contributing to enhancing the Kingdom's competitiveness and leadership on the global level.

His Highness expressed his wishes for the university staff to achieve further success and more accomplishments that enhance the standing of Saudi universities in international forums.

For his part, the President of King Faisal University reviewed the most prominent efforts and initiatives that contributed to this achievement, explaining that it reflects the qualitative development in the university's performance and its excellence in the fields of education, research, innovation, community service, and sustainability, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and enhances the university's presence in global performance and competitiveness indicators.

Dr. Abu Zenada expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province for the support and attention that the university receives, affirming that this achievement is an extension of the great support that the education sector in the Kingdom receives from the wise leadership - may God support them - in addition to the continuous support and follow-up from the Minister of Education and the Chairman of the University Affairs Council, which has contributed to Saudi universities achieving qualitative achievements at the regional and international levels.
