Environmental / Deputy Governor of Al-Baha Region meets Director General of the Ministry of Environment branch and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Green Al-Baha Association

Al-Baha, 28 Muharram 1448 AH corresponding to July 13, 2026 – SPA – His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Abdullah bin Turki, Deputy Governor of Al-Baha Region, received at his office in the Emirate Palace today, the Director General of the Branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Al-Baha Region, Engineer Fahd bin Miftah Al-Zahrani, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Green Al-Baha Association, Saud Khadran Al-Zahrani. During the meeting, His Highness reviewed the association’s report, which included the most prominent achievements, initiatives and projects implemented by the association in the field of afforestation and environmental conservation, as well as its efforts in enhancing volunteer work and environmental initiatives in the region. The Chairman of the Association presented the “Namaa Al-Baha” platform, aimed at transforming vegetation cover expansion initiatives from traditional efforts into a documented digital experience, enabling individuals and institutions to contribute to the development of forests and agricultural terraces, in addition to the association’s digital transformation initiative, which aims to support afforestation programs and develop environmental initiatives, thus contributing to raising work efficiency and enhancing community participation, as well as reviewing future plans for expanding environmental initiatives and partnerships. His Highness also viewed the electronic publication of distinguished farmers and beekeepers in Al-Baha Region, which highlights (40) distinguished farmers for the year 2025, and highlights their contributions to developing the agricultural sector and enhancing local production. The Deputy Governor of Al-Baha Region was briefed on the ongoing preparations for holding the Eighteenth Honey Festival in Al-Baha Region, scheduled to be held at Al-Hassam Park on July 26, 2026, along with accompanying events and quality programs that contribute to supporting the beekeeping sector and honey production. // End // 20:11 T M 0161
