Environmental / Deputy Governor of Asir Receives Director of Weqaa Center Branch in the Region
Abha, Safar 2, 1448 AH corresponding to July 16, 2026, SPA – His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Sattam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Asir Region, received today in his office the Director of the branch of the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Weqaa) in the region, Fouad Ahmed Al-Hamrani. During the reception, His Highness was briefed on the work of the center's branch in the region, its efforts in implementing its preventive tasks, and its programs aimed at protecting plant and animal resources, enhancing the biosecurity system, thereby contributing to food security and the sustainability of the agricultural sector. His Highness the Deputy Governor of Asir Region emphasized the importance of the center's efforts and its role in raising the level of prevention and response, and enhancing integration with relevant authorities, to achieve sustainable development goals.
