The Special Forces for Environmental Security arrested a citizen violating the environmental law for uprooting trees without a license in the Tuwaiq Natural Reserve. Legal procedures were applied against him, and the seized quantities were handed over to the competent authority.
The forces explained that the penalty for cutting down trees from vegetation cover lands, uprooting them, transporting them, scraping them, or trading them without a license is a fine of up to (20,000) riyals per tree, urging reporting any cases of assault on the environment or wildlife by calling (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.
