Environmental Security Forces Apprehend Citizen for Lighting Fire in Unauthorized Areas
The Special Forces for Environmental Security apprehended a citizen violating the environmental system, for failing to comply with instructions and guidelines for preserving vegetation by lighting fire in unauthorized places in the Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve, and legal procedures were applied against him.
The forces affirmed that the penalty for lighting fire in unauthorized places in forests and national parks is a fine of up to (3,000) riyals, urging reporting of any cases of aggression against the environment or wildlife by calling (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions, and all reports will be handled with complete confidentiality without any liability on the reporter.
