Extension of Well Water Use License Deadline for One Year
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture announced the extension of the deadline for obtaining licenses to use well water for various purposes for an additional year, with the aim of facilitating procedures and contributing to achieving water sustainability.
The decision targets individuals, government entities, the business sector, and the non-profit sector.
The ministry explained that the decision aims to facilitate procedures for obtaining licenses, regulate groundwater uses, contribute to achieving sustainable water uses, and ensure the continuity of beneficiaries' activities.
The extension includes licenses for using wells for agricultural activities, including local agricultural companies and major wheat farmers, as well as licenses for using wells for water hauling activities and bottled water factories.
The ministry stated that the decision targets individuals, government entities, the business sector, and the non-profit sector, calling on beneficiaries to take advantage of the new deadline and complete licensing procedures before it expires on 5 Safar 1449 AH.
The ministry confirmed that the terms and conditions, as well as the application for the service, are available through its official channels.
