Riyadh, Muharram 27, 1448 AH, corresponding to July 12, 2026 AD, SPA – The Shura Council General Assembly held its twenty-first meeting of the second year of the ninth term, chaired by Deputy Speaker Dr. Mishal bin Fahm Al-Sulami, and attended by Assistant Speaker Dr. Hanan bint Abdulrahim Al-Ahmadi, Secretary-General Mr. Mohammed bin Dakhel Al-Mutairi, and the heads of the council's specialized committees, to consider items on its agenda. The General Assembly approved the referral of 25 items to the council's session agenda for the coming period, including numerous reports such as the annual report of the Ministry of Investment, the annual report of the Ministry of Tourism, the annual report of the Ministry of Health, the annual report of the Agricultural Development Fund, the annual report of the General Authority for the Guardianship of Minors' and Their Equivalents' Funds, the annual report of the National Center for Inspection and Control, the annual report of King Fahd National Library, and the annual report of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority. During its meeting, the General Assembly also referred several draft agreements and memoranda of understanding with a number of brotherly and friendly countries in various fields, ahead of their submission to the council in the coming period. It is noteworthy that the Shura Council General Assembly is responsible for setting the general plan for the council and its committees, ensuring the procedural aspects of committee reports, and setting the agenda for council sessions, in addition to a number of other competencies stipulated in the council's rules of procedure and internal regulations. // End // 16:08 T M 0101
