Honoring the Winners of the Third Edition of the Taif Award for Health and Community Volunteering
His Royal Highness Prince Fawaz bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Taif, honored today, Tuesday, the winners of the third edition of the Taif Award for Health and Community Volunteering, in the presence of a number of officials, representatives of government agencies, the non-profit and private sectors, volunteers, and those interested in volunteer work.
The organizers explained that the ceremony began with a visual presentation highlighting the journey of the award and its most notable achievements in promoting a culture of health and community volunteering and supporting qualitative initiatives in Taif Governorate.
Turki Al-Dughairiri, the general supervisor of the award, noted in his speech the increase in the number of participants and the quality of initiatives, affirming that the award has become a platform that stimulates creativity and competition in community service.
The organizing committee added that the ceremony included a statistical presentation of the participants, entities, and individuals competing in the various tracks.
Honoring Winners and Supporters
For his part, the Governor of Taif honored the main supporter of the award, Khaled Al-Sharif, as well as members of the award committee and organizing committees, before presenting awards to the winners in the various categories.
In the Charitable and Humanitarian Initiatives category, King Fahd Air Base, Al-Awn Association, and Samah Saeed Al-Zahrani won.
In the Community Initiatives category, the Taif Health Cluster, Taif Green Association, Hujb Program, and Talal Al-Tuwairqi won.
In the Creativity category, the Taif Municipality won, while the non-profit and private sectors were not awarded, and Muhannad Farhat Al-Sharif won in the individuals category.
In the same context, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the initiatives 'Awareness Protects Our Environment' from the College of Engineering at Taif University, 'Vision' from Zamzam Association, and 'Developmental Integration' from the Neighborhood Centers Association.
