The third International Conference on Legal and Sharia Studies, titled 'Modern Systems and Trends,' concluded yesterday in Jeddah after three days, with the participation of an elite group of researchers, academics, and legal professionals from inside and outside the Kingdom.

The conference witnessed scientific activity addressing the most prominent contemporary legal and Sharia issues, through the discussion of (24) research papers and (12) research posters, focusing on jurisprudential, legal, and technical developments, enhancing the integration between Islamic Sharia and modern legal systems.

The final recommendations emphasized the importance of aligning Arab and Islamic legislation with local and international changes, supporting applied research that provides solutions to legal and jurisprudential challenges, alongside developing programs for training legal professionals, judges, and lawyers, investing in young research talent, and enhancing knowledge exchange. The recommendations also stressed the importance of adhering to international humanitarian law, raising awareness of intellectual property rights, updating legislation to keep pace with digital transformation and artificial intelligence applications, in addition to strengthening partnerships between academic institutions and executive bodies to transform research outcomes into practical projects that impact the judicial system. The conference called for establishing an open Arab electronic library that includes specialized books, research, and studies in law and systems, to serve as a scientific reference for researchers and specialists.

In conclusion, participants praised the scientific and organizational level of the conference, appreciating the efforts of the Eithra Knowledge Center in organizing the event and providing a scientific platform for exchanging expertise and discussing contemporary legal and Sharia issues.
