His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received in Jeddah on Thursday Her Excellency the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Anita Anand.
The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance joint cooperation to support mutual interests and open broader horizons for partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Canada.

The two sides discussed regional developments, expressing their condemnation and denunciation of Iranian violations targeting tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and the heinous attacks that affected a number of countries in the region. They stressed the need for de-escalation, a return to the negotiating track, and prioritizing the language of dialogue to reach a comprehensive agreement that consolidates peace and security at regional and international levels. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Saud bin Mohammed Al-Sati.
