His Excellency Minister of Justice Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al-Samaani met with His Excellency Turkish Minister of Justice Akin Gürlek during an official visit to the Republic of Turkey to discuss ways to enhance judicial and legal cooperation between the two countries and activate areas of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two ministries, supporting the exchange of expertise and experiences and developing areas of mutual concern.

The two sides reviewed a number of areas of cooperation, including digital transformation, judicial training, the exchange of knowledge and professional visits between specialists, as well as the development of judicial services and procedures.

His Excellency visited the Turkish Constitutional Court and met with the President of the Court, Kadir Özkaya, and was briefed on the court's work and competencies.

The two sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination between the competent authorities and working to activate areas of cooperation in a manner that serves the common interests of the two countries.

His Excellency was accompanied during the visit by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Turkey, Fahd bin Asaad Abu Al-Nasr.
