The Ministry of Defense announced the launch of a scholarship program to distinguished foreign military colleges with a renewed vision, aiming to attract outstanding high school graduates accepted into the ministry's military colleges, and to prepare qualified officers who combine national training and international experience according to the highest global standards.

The program aims to send 250 students annually for five years to 21 universities, academies, and military colleges in nine friendly countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, South Korea, Australia, Japan, and China, enabling scholarship recipients to benefit from advanced educational environments and diverse military experiences.

The Chief of the Armed Forces Training and Development Authority, Major General Adel bin Mohammed Al-Balawi, affirmed that the program achieves strategic objectives in preparing and qualifying officers academically and leadership-wise, by providing them with advanced military knowledge and the necessary skills to deal with the latest military systems, thereby enhancing the efficiency of military personnel and supporting the sustainability of human resources in the armed forces.

Major General Al-Balawi added that the program embodies the Ministry of Defense's strategy to develop national competencies and prepare qualified military leaders according to the best global practices, in line with future requirements and enhancing the readiness of the armed forces.
