Doha, March 5 (QNA) - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced an adjustment to school day timings in public and private schools from March 8 to 12, 2026, in line with the decision to shift to the distance learning system, and in order to enhance the effectiveness of the educational process in accordance with the needs of the current phase.

In a circular on its digital platforms, the ministry specified the new schedule for government schools according to educational stages as follows:

Primary stage: School starts from 10:00 AM to 12:35 PM; Preparatory and secondary stages: School starts from 10:30 AM to 1:15 PM.

Regarding private schools, the ministry explained that they will flexibly adapt their timetables to ensure the fulfillment of the approved number of study hours for this period.

The ministry affirmed that live broadcast classes in public and private schools will be held via official educational platforms, according to the timetables approved in each school, ensuring the continuity and efficiency of the educational process during the distance learning period.
