On behalf of Prince Saud bin Mishal, Jeddah Governor Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi witnessed the signing of two agreements between the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing and the National Water Company with Alma destination, aiming to manage public spaces and water infrastructure.
Jeddah, Muharram 24, 1448 AH, corresponding to July 09, 2026, SPA — On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, witnessed the signing of two agreements between the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing and the National Water Company with Alma destination, in the presence of His Excellency the CEO of the Saudi Water Authority, Engineer Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Abdulkarim, the CEO of the National Water Company, Dr. Fuad bin Ahmed Al Sheikh Mubarak, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing for Systems and Legal Affairs, Engineer Khaled bin Mohammed Al-Dugaither, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Thuraya Urban Real Estate Company, Abdulaziz Yamani, and the CEO, Zuhair Bakheet, at the project's headquarters. The agreement signed with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, represented by the Jeddah Municipality, aims to establish a sustainable framework for managing, operating, and maintaining public spaces, parks, and common facilities, including cleaning, roads, afforestation, urban landscaping, and infrastructure. The agreement signed with the National Water Company aims to implement, operate, and maintain water services infrastructure, enhancing network integration, service reliability, and water resource management efficiency. This is part of a public-private partnership model that supports sustainable urban development, improves infrastructure quality, raises investment value, and contributes to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Alma destination is one of the most prominent new urban destinations on the waterfront north of Abhur in Jeddah, spanning an area of 3.125 million square meters. It includes seven integrated neighborhoods comprising residential, hotel, commercial, and entertainment components, in addition to two islands surrounded by water channels connecting the Red Sea to King Salman Bay, approximately 12.5 kilometers of waterfront, 5.5 kilometers of promenade, and 13 interconnected parks, all within an integrated urban plan aimed at providing a modern model of contemporary living, enhancing quality of life, and attracting investments. // End // 14:35 Makkah Time 0085
