It stated that the total number of supported contracts for beneficiaries since the launch of the Sakani program in 2017 until the end of May 2026 reached 1,040,215 contracts for Saudi families in various regions of the Kingdom, an indicator reflecting the cumulative impact of the program in enhancing ownership opportunities and increasing homeownership rates.

The Ministry pointed out that Riyadh region accounted for the highest share of total supported contracts, followed by Makkah region, then the Eastern Region, then Jazan, reflecting the widening scope of benefiting from housing support programs and growing demand for housing solutions across the Kingdom's regions.

The Ministry stressed that its objectives are not limited to enabling Saudi families to own homes, but extend to developing integrated residential communities that provide quality of life and contribute to building vibrant and sustainable urban environments that meet residents' needs and align with their future aspirations, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

It added that the Sakani program continues to offer a diverse range of housing solutions and options, including ready-made housing units, units under construction within off-plan sales projects, in addition to the self-construction option as well as residential lands, providing multiple options that suit the needs and different preferences of Saudi families and giving beneficiaries greater flexibility in choosing suitable housing.

The Ministry explained that housing projects implemented in partnership with real estate developers contribute to developing integrated communities that combine housing, services, public facilities, and open spaces, enhancing quality of life and elevating the housing experience, and embodying the shift towards vibrant communities that provide an integrated environment for Saudi families.

It affirmed that integration among government entities, the private sector, and financing institutions has contributed to enhancing housing supply, expanding ownership opportunities, and improving the efficiency of the ownership journey for beneficiaries, supporting the sustainability of the housing sector and strengthening confidence in the solutions and options offered to Saudi families.

The Ministry indicated that these efforts helped raise the homeownership rate of Saudi families to 66.24% by the end of 2025, making steady progress towards the target of the Housing Program, one of Saudi Vision 2030 programs, which aims to achieve a homeownership rate of 70%.

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing reaffirmed its continued commitment to enhancing housing supply and launching more projects and housing options in partnership with the private sector across the Kingdom, contributing to meeting the needs of Saudi families, achieving balance in the real estate market, and supporting the building of prosperous communities.
