Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, received today in his office in Buraidah the Director of Prisons in the region, Brigadier General Khater Al-Zahrani, who handed His Highness the annual report on prison operations.

The report highlighted the most prominent programs and initiatives implemented for inmates during the past period. The rehabilitation and reform programs included recreational, sports, cultural, and artistic aspects, aimed at developing inmates' skills, utilizing their time in ways that enhance reform values, and preparing them for positive reintegration into society after their sentences end.

The Governor of Qassim Region noted that the wise leadership’s interest in reform and rehabilitation programs embodies a comprehensive humanitarian approach and enhances the role of reform institutions in building individuals. He praised the efforts of prison administrations and their staff in providing high-quality programs that contribute to developing inmates' skills and rehabilitating them, achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in enhancing quality of life and empowering individuals.

For his part, Brigadier General Khater Al-Zahrani expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Governor of Qassim Region for his continuous support and interest, affirming the continuation of developing programs and initiatives that enhance the reform and rehabilitation aspects for inmates in partnership with relevant authorities.
