The General Authority for Roads achieved qualitative accomplishments during the first half of 2026, reflecting the accelerated development of the roads sector, including the implementation of new projects, launching specialized initiatives, and adopting advanced technological solutions; which contributed to improving the quality of the road network, enhancing traffic safety, and supporting logistics movement.

The achievements were led by the launch of 40 new road projects with lengths exceeding 900 kilometers, distributed across the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Asir, the Eastern Region, and Al-Qassim, contributing to improving connectivity between cities and regions, reducing travel time, and supporting economic, tourism, and logistics development.

On the services side, the authority issued more than 32,000 permits for services related to the road network, continuing its efforts to simplify procedures and improve the efficiency of services provided.
